The Story

1978 Kramer XL-8 Black

TRADES - LAYAWAY - 0% FINANCING

Weight: 11.3 lb

Case: Case

Year: 1978 (best estimate)

Cosmetic Condition: Very good.  There is a bit of surface scratching throughout the bass, not no major/deep scratching.  The hardware does have some oxidation as well.  On the neck the clearcoat finish over the aluminum has chipped off in various places which is super common for these Kramer guitars/basses.  There is a very small chip by the backplate also, as well as a few dings on the body of the bass.  See our listing photos for detailed shots.

SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR LUTHIER

TECH NOTES: Looks all original. Has typical "Kramer" neck bow. Since they have no truss rod, these necks tend to get lots of relief causing high action but playable through the 10th fret or so. We have had many Kramers of this vintage through and 9 out of 10 of them are like this.
