The Story

1967 Gibson ES-345 TDC Cherry

SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM

All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup to a comfortable action as specified by that instrument’s manufacturer. Our setups always include inspection of (and necessary adjustment to): action, intonation, tremolo angle, truss rod, frets, nut, bridge, and more. We can accommodate special setup requests - additional charges and/or shipping delays of 1-2 business days could occur.

INDIVIDUALLY PHOTOGRAPHED

After 15 years of innovation in our photography process, Ish Guitars has developed a way to get you the most accurate true-to-life color of every instrument we sell. We never embellish, oversaturate, or misrepresent our images, so that your buying experience can be as much like visiting our showroom as possible. Keep in mind that various computer screens can show colors a bit differently, so the color on your screen may not match the real thing perfectly no matter how hard we try. Also, unless otherwise noted, we individually list and photo every piece of gear that comes through our doors.

SPECS

Weight: 8.1 lbs

Case Details: Original Hardshell Case

Cosmetic Condition: Very good condition with a good amount of aging/checking.  Various signs of wear/scratching throughout.  Few areas of checking coming from contact points on the top.  Area of chipping on back.  Few chips on headstock points.

Tech Notes: Guitar, Hardware, and Electronics were cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Fretboard cleaned and frets polished. Setup with minimal neck relief and medium/low action. Original frets have been leveled/crowned in the past and is playing great throughout the entire neck with consistent intonation/playability.  Original Pat # Gibson Pickups, 7.21k Neck, 7.79k Bridge. Original tuners all working properly, but you will notice the D/G tuners turn a bit looser than the others. These don't impact the tuner stability, but something to note.

Mods or Repairs: The original electronics were replaced with new pots/switches/output jack with the original Tone Caps. Varitone control is disconnected in the current configuration. There are two saddles replaced on the original ABR-1 Bridge w/ wire. Original nut was replaced. As a note the original wiring for ES-345's have the pickups out of phase in the middle position when using 1 amp, which this guitar is currently wired for. We would have to open the pickup and reverse the magnet, which we want to avoid to keep the guitar as original as possible.
